I moved so many files from my Mac to my WD, but my Mac still has 1.75GB left! How can I know what is eating my storage space on my mac?

(I use FCPX)

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

Did you delete the files on your system drive that were moved and then did you empty Trash? When you move items to another drive, they are copied so you temporarily have two copies - in the original and new locations.

If you did trash them, you might want to download OmniDIskSweeper, which is a free utility and will provide a detailed report of what's stored on your drives – sorted according to size.
